The Process

From blank canvas
to one of one.

Texture is built, not printed. Every surface is layered, sculpted and finished by hand — which is why no two pieces are ever the same.

01 — Ground

Building the surface

Modeling paste and layered mediums establish the physical depth of the piece before any color is placed — the foundation everything else is built on.

02 — Form

Sculpting the detail

Flowers, figures and forms are built up in relief so they catch light and shadow — the dimensional quality that reads even from across a room.

03 — Metal

Applying the gold

Gold leaf and metallic passages are applied by hand, worked into the texture so the light shifts as you move around the work.

04 — Reveal

The finished original

Sealed, finished and one of one — prepared for the wall it was made for.
